Planning Purposeful Activities for Emotional Development in the Early Years

Young children experience big emotions long before they have the language and skills to fully understand or manage them. In the early years, emotional development can be supported through carefully planned play experiences, meaningful conversations, creative activities and responsive interactions.

Little Feelings, Big Learning is a practical CPD session designed to help early years practitioners move from simply talking about children's emotions to intentionally planning experiences that help children recognise, express, explore and gradually manage their feelings.

The session will provide practical ideas that can be adapted for different ages, interests and early years environments.
