Empowering Early Years through Art, Play and Development.
About Shamima’s Workshop
Our Expanded Vision: Beyond Learning — Wellbeing, Art & Development
Shamima’s Workshop is no longer just about early years learning. Over time, the vision has grown. Shamima’s Workshop has grown into more than a resource space; it now includes creative arts therapy–informed practice, emotional well-being support, and professional development for educators. Through art, play, sensory exploration, and gentle therapeutic principles, I help children express their feelings, build resilience, and develop confidence. I also provide training programs, assessor support, and reflective workshops that equip educators with the skills and confidence needed to deliver high-quality early years practice. For parents and home educators, I offer accessible guidance, practical ideas and creative routines that make learning at home both simple and meaningful.
Meet the Founder: Shamima Fowzee
I’m Shamima Fowzee, the founder of Shamima’s Workshop—an early years trainer, NCFE assessor, and creative arts therapy practitioner with experience supporting nurseries, schools, and families across the UAE. Over the years I have developed creative, reflective approaches to early childhood education, designed play-based curricula, and supported teachers in implementing high-quality, child-centered practice. My approach brings together pedagogical expertise, methodological clarity, and a deep commitment to nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and emotions. I believe that children learn best when they feel emotionally secure, creatively stimulated, and understood by the adults around them.
Everything I create at Shamima’s Workshop is rooted in a commitment to child-centered development, emotional well-being, and purposeful creativity. I believe in evidence-based practice, in making learning engaging and accessible, and in supporting the adults who support children—because strong, confident practitioners and parents build strong, confident children. This community exists to make early years education clearer, more joyful, and beautifully connected to children’s natural ways of exploring the world.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart
